OK, so I know from my clients that writing isn’t fun… unless you have a passion for it. That’s why, especially online when it comes to coming up with interesting content for:

No matter what content is needed, some just don’t get what they want DONE. Sometimes for years.

Of course, depending on what you’re writing about, it can be difficult to…   






….Unless you are either trained in the art of it, love doing it and therefore have a natural flair for it. Or even better, both.

A lot of you don’t have the time or energy to sit down and start writing.

And so many of you will outsource and hire someone who will do those less than exciting writing tasks that you need completed.

The only problem is finding a copywriter that is flexible, effective, enjoys what they do, works fast and hard, gets to the point, achieves the objective, is friendly, reliable, understands what you want and need, has a history of satisfied customers and most importantly…. You can afford.

A writer you don’t know with too high a price is risky (and can come across pompous!)

Too low a price guarantees you someone with little self-value, no experience or low quality English. And this, I promise you, you do not want either.

Note: Poor grammar, uneasy flow or a lack of engagement are the key factors in content creation that can HARM your reputation and ensure your audience stays away.

Not good. There must be trust, empathy and wisdom for any piece of content to be worthwhile reading. So imagine you have used some badly-worded (low quality) content for your audience, they’re either going to think of you as an idiot (even though it wasn’t you who created it!) or they’re going to think you care so little about them that you didn’t believe you needed to invest anything more than a few pence into keeping them entertained.

And it’s even worse if you use a ghost writer because you’re saying YOU created the content… and so your neck is on the line if it isn’t very good!

So, put it this way: Would you prefer a live band or do you want your great aunt Maisie to do some karaoke at your party? Because writing is no different.  Writing is supposed to be fun and if you’re enjoying it, it comes across to your reader. But the writer also has to know when it is time to be professional; when and how to convey and tailor the message exactly to your social or business needs. They need to know WHAT THE AUDIENCE IS LOOKING FOR:

Otherwise, they might read and laugh and say ‘Great article!’… but if you want them to actually buy something or go on to take ‘x’ action… they won’t. Because you haven’t targeted that aspect of the mind throughout your piece!

All the Gurus (GOO-ROOS) will tell you…

“Content is king.”

Especially in business: It’s the face of your business. It is the information. It is how you sound. It is ultimately the difference between being taken seriously or not. Fact. It doesn’t matter if it’s a video script or a web page:

You need to deliver SIX things in any good piece of content:

  • QUALITY (It has to be satisfying, entertaining or fit to purpose!)

  • HONESTY (You must look genuine!)

  • EXPERTISE (You have to look like you know what you’re talking about!)

  • TAILORED, UNIQUE MESSAGE (You have to stand OUT and be specific! What is your unique selling point?)

  • PERSUASION (You must ‘call to action’ or at least achieve your target message!)

  • ACCURACY (You must be accurate in your figures, facts and statements!)

The magic is in getting the mix of these just right. A writer is a baker of words… and every baker knows that too much of one ingredient and not enough of another (depending on what you’re aiming for) creates a failed cake. It doesn’t rise.

Do you want to rise?!

Rising is about standing out. It’s about showing people that your content is BETTER. It has to work for you and for them.
